Numerous couples in Buriram reported a well-known wedding planning and bridal gown rental store for breaching their contracts. These couples, set to marry on November 25, were left in the lurch when the shop failed to deliver promised wedding setups and bridal attire. Local authorities received multiple complaints from these disappointed couples who faced losses due to the shop’s failure to meet their agreed-upon services.
Situated in Buriram city, the shop allegedly reneged on setting up wedding scenes as agreed and provided bridal outfits that didn’t match the agreed designs. Most couples had paid a deposit and scheduled their weddings for the next day. Upon visiting the shop, they found only staff, no owner, and no satisfactory resolution.
The police intervened, finding numerous soon-to-be-wedded individuals at the shop seeking explanations. Efforts to mediate between the aggrieved parties and the staff were made. However, with the absence of the shop owner, the staff couldn’t fulfill the promised wedding scenes or bridal makeovers. Dissatisfied customers were advised to file formal complaints at the police station.
One groom, expecting to marry at a resort, had agreed to a package involving wedding scene setup, attire rental, and makeup services, paying a deposit of 10,000 baht out of 14,000 baht. The shop failed to deliver the promised services, leaving him no choice but to accept the inadequate substitutes as his wedding was the next day. Disappointed, he contemplated lodging a complaint with his family.
Conversely, a shop staff member, responsible for equipment and makeup preparations, claimed ignorance about the issues. He mentioned being unaware of the shop owner’s whereabouts after the afternoon, despite several couples seeking clarification about their wedding arrangements. He attempted to assist by offering available outfits.
