A peculiar incident took place at the Poo Srisuttho Shrine in Udon Thani Province, where worshippers were confronted with unfamiliar markings on sacred candles, and an apparently lifeless gecko suddenly came back to life, leaving everyone amazed and astonished.
On June 10, at around 11am, despite the drizzling rain, devotees continued to visit Wat Sri Daram in Nakhum Saeng District, Udon Thani Province, to honor Poo Srisuttho. To create an image of Poo Srisuttho, believers joined hands near the 131-meter-long Kham Sida pond. The beauty of the spectacle attracted villagers who sought good fortune and success in their endeavors through prayers.
In addition, first-time visitors from Nong Khai Province were enthralled by the enchanting image and proceeded to seek blessings and good luck at the smaller Poo Srisuttho Shrine. However, they encountered difficulties in deciphering the numbers inscribed on the sacred candles. Instead of clear numerical figures, the markings resembled the scales of the mythical serpent, Phaya Naga.
After some time, a few individuals managed to faintly discern the numbers 78 and 87, while the third number remained ambiguous, possibly resembling a 4 or 0.
Following the candle ceremony, a remarkable turn of events occurred when a motionless gecko lying on its back suddenly regained consciousness, leaving the attendees awestruck. This unexplained incident further intensified the sense of wonder and fascination among those present during their visit to the shrine.
