A major police bust is being reported on social media regarding the confiscation of bank notes from China.
Thai media are reporting today that everyone needs to be vigilant and on the lookout for fake 1,000 and 500 baht banknotes.
The forged 1,000 baht notes are easy to spot as they all have the same 5 J 9952371 serial number. No details were given for the fake 500’s.
The warning comes as video footage of uniformed and plainclothes police counting stacks of counterfeits was being widely shared on Thai social media.
