Buriram Golf Society had another road trip to Khon Kaen on Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th March, playing at Dancoon and Singha Park golf courses. Scoring was excellent and it produced a very close, competitive result.
After the first round at Dancoon ,Rod Young and Peter Thripp were tied for the lead on 32 points. The two nearest- the- pin prizes went to Dave Griffin and Keith Wood.
In the second round at Singha Park, Alex Low scored an excellent 37 points , with Rod Young scoring 33 points and Peter Thripp 32 points. The two nearest-the-pin prizes were won by Peter Dempsey and Colin Bradwell.
This meant that current AwayTour trophy holder Rod Young once again has his name on the trophy. Rod scored 65 points over the two days to narrowly defeat Peter Thripp and Alex Low on 64 points.
