John, a Buriram Times correspondent, took on the challenge of hiking up to the Everest base camp and as we all knew he would, succeeded in style.
He was also proud to wear his Buriram United football shirt to show his support for the city and football team in Thailand that he loves .
John MacDonald, as his name suggests, hails from bonny Scotland and lived in the Highlands (Inverness) for many years. He enjoyed hill walking and many other country pursuits, so the Everest base camp was no bother.
