Buriram was hit by a severe tropical storm around 7.30pm last night. The sky was constantly lit by large flashes of lightning and some of the thunder claps were incredibly loud indeed.
Some streets were flooded due to the intensity of the heavy rain and some areas lost their electricity.
However, credit where credit is due, within thirty minutes of the storm abating, power was restored despite the fact that there were still occasional flashes of lightning and rumbles of thunder.
There could be further storms on the horizon as the unseasonal weather continues. So make sure you’re well-stocked with candles !
