The Buriram Romantic Thai Restaurant and Pizzeria is a fairly new restaurant which not many people know about. It is on Nahsathani Road, 188/26-27. It was the original Roma Pizza Bar.To get to it, head for the Private Hospital , traveling out of town. Just after you go over the level crossing , turn left at the lights and it is situated about 50 metres on your left. (Even I found It ! …..eventually !)
You can park on the road outside the restaurant.
On entering, you will likely be greeted by the lovely May or co-owner Szilard who both speak excellent English and will give you a warm welcome.
The restaurant is open from 11am until 10pm and serves breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks. The menu is really extensive with a wide selection of western food such as spaghetti , pizzas and a mouth-watering speciality page which includes goulash.
Naturally, there is a good selection of Thai food on offer, and the menu for the Thai section is written in both Thai and English so we “stupid” farangs know what we’re ordering. All food is very reasonably priced and the spaghetti bolognaise and the pizza takeaway I had were both excellent. Portions should satisfy the “healthiest” of appetites.
As with the food, the drinks menu is also extensive and well-priced with a wide variety of soft drinks and spirits available. Chang and Leo beer bottles are sold, small 55bht, large 80bht.
Glasses of white and red wine are on offer at 120bht per 200ml glass.
As you can see, the restaurant has been tastefully decorated, giving it a relaxing ambience. A good selection of popular western music also adds to that.

Even if you don’t particularly want to eat, pop in for a beer or two. May is new to Buriram and would love to get to know more of the “locals !
