Buriram in Cambodia

Buriram had a convincing 6-0 victory over Phnom Penh Crown in Cambodia. Three goals in either half were just reward for their dominance.

The game was supposed to be screened live on true4u but some kind of technical problem prevented that from happening.

Some people may have been lucky enough to find the live feed on the internet.

Buriram made several changes from Saturday with a completely new defence. Yotsapon was in goal, with Patipan, Pansa and Adisak forming the back three.

Anawin, Chitpanya and Korrakot came into midfield whilst Supachok and promising youngster Supachai joined Diogo up front.

Buriram took the lead in the 9th minute with a lovely worked goal. Anawin collected a crossfield pass wide right and flicked a delightful ball to Supachok who lifted the ball calmly over the advancing keeper.

It was two four minutes later when Diogo collected the ball some thirty yards out before sending a screamer into the far corner. A great strike.

Diogo then added another in the 36th minute with a clinical low strike.

Buriram made it four in the 70 minute with another well-worked goal. Supachai set up Supachok with a neat pass and the ball was confidently dispatched into the net with a low shot.

Eight minutes from time Buriram made it five when Sakeereen moved forward down the right channel before drilling the ball beyond a helpless keeper.

The sixth goal came in stoppage time when Sakeereen advanced down the right before squaring the ball for the unmarked Supachai to score from close range.

Not exactly a severe test for Buriram but what was encouraging was the quality of the goals. Young guns Supachok and Supachai both look to have very bright futures and Diogo looked at his predatory best.
