An air-conditioned bus carrying fifty of Buriram’s Hardcore supporters crashed at 11.20 pm on Saturday night following Buriram’s 2-1 victory at Saraburi.The accident occurred in Nakon Ratchasima’s Sung Noen district on the Pak Thung Chai-Sung Noen road .
The bus’ front left tyre burst,causing the bus to skid off the road and collide with a tree. Forty-five of the fifty supporters were injured, four seriously according to a police spokesman. Thirty-one casualties were taken to Sung Noen hospital and fourteen to Pak Thung Chai.
As a special touch, players Tunez and Macena visited the hopsital to wish their ardent supporters a speedy recovery. A gesture that has been met with much admiration on the Buriram United Facebook page.
