Buriram’s injury nightmare continued last night when Sittichok was injured in the Thailand Under 21’s pre-match warm up. He was carried off and taken to hospital where it was confirmed he’d broken a bone in his right foot. He was operated on in Buriram and is expected to be out for about six months.
Following long-term injuries to Diogo, Anon and Koravit , it is the latest set-back for the defending champions. Although Sittichok has struggled to make a real impact following his wonder strike at Nakhon Ratchasima last season, he is still young and Buriram are hoping that he will continue to press for a first-team place.
