Jimmy’s Sports Cafe of Buriram recently scooped a highly sought after and seldom bestowed Gold Standard Award for cleanliness and taste performance.
Granted by the Department of Health together with Tourism Authority Thailand and the Ministry of Interior, the “Clean Food and Good Taste Gold Award” is an extremely rare commodity.
Only eighty nine eateries all across Thailand, just two of which are in the province of Buriram, have received the esteemed accolade this year.
Traveling all the way to Bangkok to accept the award, Ting (pictured), represented Jimmy’s Sport’s Cafe at the award’s ceremony.
The award was assessed by a number of surprise visits from inspectors who took swab samples throughout the premises including the kitchen, plates, cutlery, mugs, glasses, work surfaces and even staff members hands.
Passing all tests with flying colours, Jimmy’s Sports Cafe was duly granted the distinction.
All inspections being done without any prior warning, is testament to the high standards set by Jimmy and Noi for their restaurant on a daily basis.
