The National Legislative Assembly met on Tuesday morning to acknowledge the accession of the Crown Prince to the throne. The meeting followed a special meeting of the cabinet and the National Council for Peace and Order on extending the invitation to the new King to take the throne.
Officials will have an audience with HRH the Crown Prince on Thursday.
After the assembly’s acknowledgment, the Assembly President led assemblymen to extend their best wishes to His Majesty the King: “Long live the King.”
