Paddy’s Irish Bar landlord Rod Young has always maintained his establishment is pub first and eatery second. However, he may have to re-evaluate his priorities with the recent introduction of new chef M.

Whilst the usual regulars are still coming in for a few beers, more and more are bringing their Thai wives and girlfriends as M’s reputation for cooking top quality Thai food increases daily.

M previously worked at the Amari Hotel so he is no stranger to producing first-class food. The comments of very satisfied customers are nearly all the same, “The best Thai food I have ever had,” crops up regularly.

M is also able to cook food to customers’ individual tastes and is excellent at serving up Thai food with “farangs” in mind. Not only that, Rod says that he is a very quick learner and is now able to deal with the whole menu , not just Thai food.

So if you fancy a bite to eat with your beers, you will receive a warm welcome at Paddy’s.

Christmas Eve saw Paddy’s full again for a night of traditional Christmas songs with Dave and Vince. They return on New Year’s Eve and are joined by Jack on the drums. Entertainment starts around 7pm and it will go on to see the new year in.
