Former Buriram favourite Gilberto Macena has signed for Chiang Rai United, coached by Alexandre Gama. Gilberto formed the other half of Buriram’s deadly duo with Diogo and is still remembered fondly here in Buriram.
The Buriram Times forged a special link with him when he gave a frank interview about his great sadness on leaving Buriram. We have kept in touch and we hope that Gilberto has made a full recovery from the serious knee injury he sustained over a year ago.
