It was a pleasure to attend graduation day at the Buriram University on Sunday. The streets around the campus were gridlocked for most of the day as families from far and wide came to support their family graduates.
The celebrations lasted most of the day with photographs being taken to record this very special day for the students.
Whilst there I was shown around some of the new buildings which have been added in recent years and from one of the top floors I was able to see the extensive construction work in progress for the continued expansion of the university.
We were informed that there are around 30,000 students attending the various colleges and the university in the city.
Although Buriram has become famous for its many new attractions in the past few years we must not forget that it is a University town first and foremost and brings in a substantial amount of funds to the province.
A most enjoyable day and wonderful to meet so many families.
