Parn Meunyot had left his birthplace Buriram on the 15th after hearing news of the death of His Majesty. Using only hand power, as he has limited use of his legs, he has propelled his “Royal Chariot” all the way to Bangkok.

The 84 year old idolises King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great whose body lays at rest within the palace walls. He proudly saluted at the palace and his journey was over

Although obviously tired, he smiled and said he was happy to have carried out his mission for the King.

The public on route helped him with food and drink plus lots of support. Many have followed news of his journey from North East Thailand each day.

It is extremely impressive that he has covered such a distance (400km) in extremely hot weather. Such is the devotion for His Majesty.

If anyone has a better photo of Grandad Parn, Buriram Times would be grateful if we could show it on this article.
