A jealous Thai man who claimed his wife was having an affair shot her seven times in front of the couple’s children in Ratchaburi.
According to terrified neighbours he then fled on a motorcycle.
The incident happened late Tuesday night at a house in Lum Din sub-district of Muang district.
Police at the scene found Suphaporn, 45, slumped in a chair with her head on a table. She was riddled with bullets and blood was coming from her head and body.
She died at the scene.
The shooter was her husband Samart, also 45, who is being hunted after fleeing on a motorcycle. He is a native of Kanchanaburi.
Neighbours told the police that the couple had been involved in a very loud argument over alleged infidelity since early evening. The couple had come outside the house to settle the matter that had led to their children screaming for them to stop.
But while the wife was sitting down the husband produced a 9mm gun and fired repeatedly at his wife. Seven shell casings were recovered.
The neighbours said the couple had been together for many years.
The son of the victim was helping police with their inquiries.
