Totally unlike any venue in Buriram, Jimmy’s Sports Cafe opened on Sunday. A rush of eager customers arrived to soak up the distinctly European feel.
Jimmy, from Scotland, has created a clever combination of cafe, sports bar and restaurant that works extremely well.
Smart and crispy clean, the small sports bar section provides beer drinkers with comfy perches to rest on. From high bar stools you can easily catch the sporting action.
On a raised terrace, in a European cafe style, larger tables and chairs surround the bar area. You can sit here, on the terrace, to watch people and the traffic go by. How very European indeed.
Tactically positioned high up in the ceiling corners, two large flat screen T.V’s show current and past worldwide sporting action. So no matter where you’re sitting you can always catch the games or the latest sport.
Customers can choose to either position themselves out in front of the restaurant, where the bar and T’V’s are situated, or opt for a more luxurious experience in the air conditioned dining room.
Large leather lounging chairs surround the dining tables.
Noi, Jimmy’s wife helps in every aspect of the service. Having owned a similar successful business in Bang Saray, these guys really know what they are doing. The attention to detail is distinctly noticeable.
Breakfasts are the main food specialty. Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, smoked kippers, and a very large bacon chop make up three of the twenty different varities of breakfats available.

Despite breakfasts being the main specialty, there’s, much more to the Sport’s Cafe menu.
Home made burgers, pies, steaks, fried chicken, many Thai dishes, and salads make up an extensive, quality selection.
A towering home made burger with a fried egg, melted cheese, salted bacon, a special mix of salad vegetables and pickles is their flagship burger. Named the “Aussie Burger” it’s a challenge all of its own.

All burgers are home made on site from scratch and complimented by their special home made burger sauce.
As the venue is a Sports “Cafe”, they do also sell some great tasting coffee. Mokador coffee, specially imported all the way from Italy, makes a high standard of cappuccino and other coffee drinks.
It really is a Sport’s Bar, Cafe, and Restaurant all rolled into one. So if you want to catch some sports with beer, have a cafe experience while you watch the world go by, or enjoy one of many great food items, Jimmy’s certainly won’t disappoint.
