As the flooding spreads in the south of Thailand and the death toll increases Koh Samui and Koh Phangan are declared disaster areas
With the main ring road in Koh Samui, under 60 cm. of flood water, the island is at a stand- still.
Koh Phangan is in a desperate state with falling rocks bringing down electricity posts causing blackouts throughout the island.
The weather office is predicting rain in most areas of Koh Samui until Wednesday.
