Chiang Mai News reported on the arrest of a 56-year-old South Korean national who police arrested at a downtown Korean restaurant.
Region 5 immigration officials said that Kyen Song Lee had overstayed his welcome in Thailand by 1,034 days.
Apart from now being illegal in the kingdom, he was also running a website to encourage his compatriots to visit Chiang Mai.
He has been charged with overstay and illegal working.
