A man has come back to Thailand , along with his adoptive Dutch parents, to search for his birth-mother and father. He was adopted as a toddler and has not been back to the country since.

But he faces problems as records at a Ratchaburi hospital were only kept for ten years and now Siwa Geboers is 29 years old.

He was adopted in the early nineties by Will and Margo Geboers now 64 and 60 years of age respectively.

The only record he has was that he was left at Ratchaburi Hospital in January 1988, Thereafter he was taken into care at a children’s home in Phayathai Bangkok before he was adopted aged two years 8 months.

Siwa, a logistics worker in the Netherlands said that the family were coming on holiday to Thailand and he wanted to look for his birth mum and dad. He knew it was a long shot and the news so far was not good with authorities at the hospital saying records were only kept for ten years.

The family will be switching their attention to the children’s home to see if they can make any progress. They are in Thailand until February 18th.

We wish him well.
