Miss Thailand Chalita Suansane squeezed through to the top 13 contestants to be crowned the new Miss Universe 2017.

The 12 others are Miss Kenya, Miss Indonesia, Miss USA, Miss Mexico, Miss Peru, Miss Panama, Miss Colombia, Miss Philippines, Miss Canada, Miss Brazil, Miss France and Miss Haiti.

Thais had to hold their breath as the moderator Steve Harvey announced Chalita’s name as the last one in the final 13.

There were a million votes from the fans at home for her to move on to the top 13. For her trip to Miss Universe, she actually brought 17 suitcases. She said that they are filled with items from the lovely sponsors of Thailand.
