Due to unforeseen circumstances the Thai-Farang Rockers were unable to appear but a stand-in band (no name yet) were able to fill the void.

The bar was filling up when they got under way around 6.30pm and from the first chord it was evident that it was going to be a good night.

The band is a three-man line up consisting of bass (very good), electric pad drums and electric acoustic guitar. This gentleman was also the singer and he has an exceptional voice.

He sang the farang songs with confidence and clarity, much appreciated by the growing audience. The Thai ladies were also impressed by the Thai songs and the dance area was occupied for most of the evening.

During the break, some of the ladies decided it was time to take up darts and to say they were enthusiastic beginners would be an understatement ! It was also safe walking past them to use the toilets, unusual for ladies new to the game.

When the band returned they continued in the same vein, with a wide variety of farang and Thai songs. There was a great atmosphere in the bar and when they finished their set they received a deserved warm round of applause.

The only draw back to the evening was that the You Tube karaoke was not available due to “technical problems” which landlord Mike assured us will be sorted quickly.

Despite this, it was a great night and everyone went home happy. Eventually !!
