Yesterday, a wild bull from Khao Phaeng Ma caused injuries to a mother and her seven-year-old daughter as they were riding a motorcycle in Nakhon Ratchasima. The bull unexpectedly charged at them, colliding with their motorcycle. The mother fell to the ground, while the daughter’s clothing became entangled in the bull’s horns before she also fell, approximately 100 meters from the motorcycle. Both sustained serious injuries.
The incident occurred as the mother and daughter, residents of Khlong Durian Village No. 6 in Wang Nam Khiao Subdistrict, Wang Nam Khiao District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, were passing by a restaurant named Sida Kitchen at the 10-kilometer mark on a steep hill. Despite warnings from villagers about bulls grazing on the side of the road, the pair did not hear the cautionary shouts and proceeded up the hill to the middle section. Subsequently, a wild bull emerged from the roadside and collided with their motorcycle.
The seven-year-old daughter, nicknamed Cream, became ensnared on the bull’s horns. After the collision, the bull retreated into the forest, prompting Cream’s mother to pursue it. She discovered Cream unconscious 100 meters away from where the motorcycle had fallen, as reported by Channel 7 News.
Cream sustained a thigh wound and vomited blood initially. Authorities transported her to Wang Nam Khiao Hospital, but due to the severity of her condition, she was later transferred to Maharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital for further medical attention.
The mother and daughter were on their way to buy shoes at the market in Wang Nam Khiao District for a National Children’s Day event scheduled for January 13, organized by Cream’s school. This unfortunate incident adds to a series of similar occurrences involving collisions between wild bulls and vehicles in the area.
In response to the risks posed by such incidents, villagers are urging relevant authorities to install lighting for the safety of both local residents and tourists in the vicinity.
