Pita Limjaroenrat Crowned ‘Politician Of The Year’ In Isaan Poll

Pita Limjaroenrat, the former leader of the Move Forward Party (MFP), achieved the esteemed recognition of being named Politician of the Year in a rigorous survey conducted by Isaan Poll. The survey encompassed 2,156 respondents, aged 18 or above, across 20 provinces in the Northeast region, with Pita securing an impressive 34% of support.

Overseen by Associate Professor Sutin Wianwiwat, the extensive survey conducted between July 14 to 16 and December 18 to 25 evaluated 12 diverse categories to identify outstanding individuals, organizations, and contributions of the year. In a fluctuating outcome reminiscent of a political rollercoaster, Pita, the former MFP leader, emerged as the top Politician of the Year, with Paetongtarn Shinawatra, now leading the Pheu Thai Party, following behind at 15%. Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin garnered a respectable 9.5%.

Beyond Pita’s recognition, the survey bestowed the title of Organization for Society of the Year to PTT Plc with 12.5% support, closely trailed by the Mirror Foundation (11.8%) and CP Group (3.8%). In the activism sphere, Chuwit Kamolvisit claimed the title of Social Activist of the Year with 9.7% support, accompanied by Panadda Wongphudee aka Boom (9.5%) and Rangsiman Rome (4.5%).

The survey also highlighted other sectors: Channel 3 HD earned the distinction of TV Station of the Year with a commanding 36.3%, followed by Channel 7 HD (18.6%) and Thairath TV (12%). Thairath secured the title for Newspaper/Website of the Year with a notable 33%, followed by Matichon (10.1%) and Dailynews (9.3%).

In the entertainment world, Nadech Kugimiya was named Actor of the Year (13.8%) and Bella Ranee Campen as Actress of the Year (17.6%). Monkaen Kaenkhoon (31.1%) and Tai Orathai (24.8%) were recognized as Male and Female Singers of the Year, respectively. Rabiabwathasilp claimed the top spot for Traditional Dramatic Performance Troupe of the Year (20.1%), followed by Prathombanthoengsilp (14.1%) and Sao Noi Phet Ban Phaeng (10.0%).

In the news domain, Sorayuth Suthassanachinda was crowned Male News Announcer of the Year (32.5%), followed by Kanchai Kamnerdploy (22.3%) and Phakphum Pansathit (7.1%). Pitchayathan Chanphut stood out as Female News Announcer of the Year (27.9%), trailed by Jitdee Sridee (8.0%) and Jomquan Laophet (7.3%).
