The Deputy Prime Minister along with a contingent from the Ministry of Sport visited the Chang International Circuit yesterday (August 24).
The visit comes ahead of the important winter practice for the Moto GP on February 16-18. The government has backed Buriram’s bid to host the Moto GP in 2018, 19 and 20.
The first GP will be held in early October next year and the party was shown round the circuit by Buriram FC owner Newin Chidchob who was hugely instrumental in bringing the circuit into being.
The enormity of what the Moto GP coming to Buriram means to the area and indeed to the country, cannot be underestimated and there is much work to be done to ensure the event is a total success.
