Gary doing Scotland proud.
Local lad Gary Johnson originally from Glasgow in Scotland, who rode in Buriram a few weeks ago in his first ever race, had his second at the Thailand Circuit Motorsport Complex in Nakhon Chaisri  last weekend.
Things didn’t start off too well for the weekend. On Friday he had a fall in free practice, fracturing his collar bone .However, his bike was undamaged so the tough Scot decided he would put up with the injury to race.
On Saturday he posted a good qualifying position, but the real performance came in Sunday’s race where he achieved a brilliant 3rd positon, a place on the podium and his first trophy.
Gary on the podium.
Gary left his decision to start racing very late in life, but he is not letting that happen to the next generation of Johnsons. He already has his two sons Kevin and Stewart attending track days with them riding small bikes and having race training.
We wish them luck with their careers and the same to Gary in 2017.We look forward to meeting with him at his third event in Buriram in January.
