Seven Buriram players were named in the Thai Premiership Team Of The Season. Tunez is undoubtedly the best defender in Thailand by a mile. Joining him is the remarkably consistent Koravit and Thailand captain Theerathon who has also been outstanding. In the midfield skipper Suchao has led by example,showing a real will to win whenever he pulls on a Buriram shirt. He has the important midfield holding role down to a fine art and he is a vital cog in the Buriram machine. Seul-Ki was also named and he has developed into the best creative midfielder in Thailand. His vision and range of passing is a joy to watch and he is also capable of scoring goals.
Up front of course we have the “Terrible Twins” Diogo and Macena. After an uncertain start they have scored a remarkable 53 league goals between them. Macena is a tireless runner, pulling defences apart as well as being a clinical finisher. Diogo has developed into the predator supreme and defences have not been able to cope with his natural eye for goal.
These selections are a fitting testament to Buriram’s dominance this season.
