Scene of horror crash.

Two students and four teachers died when their bus plunged into a ravine at Prachinburi.

The accident happened at 4:30 am on the road running through Khao Yai National Park and Tablan National Park in Moo 4 village in Tambon Buppram in Nadee district.

The bus, which was transporting 11th and 12th graders and teachers of Phangthui Pattana School from Khon Kaen, plunged into the ravine on the downhill sharp curve to the 20-metre-deep bottom. The rest of the teachers and students were injured and rushed to the Nadee district hospital.

The deputy inspector of Wang Khon Daeng police station, said 44 students and teachers of the school were heading for an education trip in Chanthaburi’s Khung Kraben district.

He said the accident happened apparently because the bus was running too fast onthe downhill road toward the curve and the driver was not familiar with the road.

The bus driver fled the scene, the deputy inspector added.

Another tragic accident appears to have happened through human error. It must have been a terrifying experience for all concerned and the Buriram Times sends its sincere condolences to the families of the victims and hopes that those injured make a speedy and full recovery.
