The body of a 19-year-old engineering student was found on the ground floor outside the Esplanade shopping mall in Nonthaburi on Monday morning, police said.
The student, Chatbodin Meeprasert, was later seen on a security camera recording opening a fire exit on the sixth floor of the mall. But the footage did not show how he fell.
His body was found on a side of the mall at 3.40am.
Nanthakul Ammares, who works at a fast-food shop in the mall, told police that she rode her motorcycle past the spot at 3.15 am and did not see any body but when she returned at 3.40 am she found the young man lying dead.
The teenager was in his second year at King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, studying in the Faculty of Engineering.
