Meth amphetamine for sale.

A teacher, Pitak Bunlien, 49, has been arrested in Chumpolburi district in Surin province for allegedly selling meth amphetamine tablets to students.

Pitak is a teacher at Ban Ponmuang school and he was caught with 50 tablets in his possession.

He said he had to turn to selling drugs because his monthly earnings were insufficient to make ends meet. He added that he also takes drugs as well as selling them to students.

There can be no excuse for teachers to put children at risk in such a callous manner. They are supposed to be preparing children for life as adults, not sending them into a dark world of drug abuse. Hopefully, this man will have plenty of time to reflect on his actions in prison.

Meanwhile border patrol police also arrested two Laotian drug traffickers and seized 23,000 meth amphetamine tablets at a public park in Pak Chom district of Loei province.

Both admitted to waiting at the park to deliver the drugs valued at two million baht to a client.
