
Intense rainfall is anticipated in 49 provinces throughout Thailand today, particularly in the northern and northeastern regions. There’s also a 70% likelihood of rain in Bangkok and its nearby areas.
According to the Thai Meteorological Department’s 24-hour forecast, robust monsoons are sweeping across the northern and upper northeastern regions, while a fairly potent southwest monsoon is affecting the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand. This weather pattern is expected to result in increased rainfall nationwide, with significant downpours forecasted in specific areas in the central, eastern, and southern regions. The northern and northeastern regions are particularly poised to experience substantial rainfall.
In the northeast, thunderstorms are predicted with an 80% chance of rain, and heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in certain areas, notably in the provinces of Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Sisaket, and Ubon Ratchathani. Temperature-wise, the lowest is projected to be between 23-26 degrees Celsius, while the highest is anticipated to range from 27-34 degrees Celsius. Southwest winds are forecasted to blow at speeds ranging from 10-25 kilometers per hour.
