The Thai FA have banned Muang Thong and Thai Port from playing any more homes games this season following the violence after their match last Wednesday night. The FA have stated that the clubs can play their home games at neutral venues providing that they pay the host club’s expenses.
The fans of both clubs will not be allowed to attend the matches. An unconfirmed report also states that the supporters of Muang Thong United and Thai Port are banned from attending ALL remaining matches this season, including the League Cup Final.
How this ban will be implemented remains to be seen. In the meantime, the Thai FA have not ruled out further punishment as their investigations continue.
