Thai League 1 Round-Up And Table As Buriram Reach New Points Record

Buriram recorded their 11th consecutive victory 2-1 at Chonburi to create a new league record of 86 points. Diogo’s second-half double saw the visitors come back from being a goal down to finish a staggering 14 points in front of runners-up Muang Thong.

The Kirins secured second place with a routine 2-0 home victory over Bangkok Glass, despite their shock 1-0 home defeat by relegated Thai Honda in midweek.

Nakhon Ratchasima drew 1-1 at home with Sukhothai and Pattaya rounded off a good season with a 3-0 home win over Police Tero who have sacked their coach.

Thai Port had an excellent 3-2 victory at Ratchaburi and Super Power came back from being 2-0 down to claim a 2-2 home draw against Chiang Rai with a last-minute equalizer.

Thai Honda also came back from a two-goal deficit to draw 2-2 at home to Suphanburi and Navy beat Bangkok United 2-1 at home .

A late winner gave Ubon a 2-1 home win over relegated Sisaket.

So the 2017 season draws to a close with Buriram worthy champions . Relegated are Thai Honda, Sisaket and Super Power who will be replaced by Chainat Hornbill (Deservedly after the way they were relegated last year), Air Force Central and Prachuap.
