Brother killed in row over cheap booze.

A Thai man murdered his elder brother with the help of his drinking partner after being refused money for more alcohol.

All three were homeless people living in the area near the end of Petchaburi Soi 31 in Phayathai district of Bangkok.

Police found 43 year old “Den” with his head smashed in dead on the footpath by a public telephone box.

They soon arrested his younger brother “Dao”, 38, and another man Bunlert Sribunreuang, 77, who were both nearby.

They had all been drinking together early yesterday morning. When Dao asked Den for money to buy more drink he was told he hadn’t got any. An argument broke out that was settled when members of the public intervened and police turned up.

But the matter seethed and following more drinking another argument ensued in which the younger brother grabbed his elder sibling and smashed his head into the road three or four times.

Then to add insult to injury the eldest man poured booze down the victim’s throat.

Both Dao and Bunlert were charged with murder and detained.
