Two stranded Russian tourists who stayed overnight at the police station in Suphanburi had nothing but praise for the cops.
Police turned hoteliers providing bedding and a safe haven for the night after seeing the pair wandering around late. They even rustled up some breakfast.
It was thumbs up for the constabulary yesterday as the Thung Khok police in Song Phi Nong district were pictured with Mikifer, 26 and his girlfriend Mironova, 21.
Mikifer said they had a shower, a great night’s sleep and breakfast was brought to them.
There was no mention of any charges in the Daily News story.
“When we go back to Russia we shall be telling all our friends about amazing Thailand and the utterly wonderful Thai police” said Mikifer in appreciation of their experience.
The area lies about 150 kilometers to the north west of Bangkok and is well known for Thai cultural sites and places of interest.
The pair were so engrossed in the wonderful Thai culture on offer in Don Manao that they quite forgot what time it was.
The last bus back to Khao San had left without them and they were wandering aimlessly about when a patrol came to the rescue and took them to the safety of the local station.
