The War Elephants are looking to cause a major upset tomorrow when they meet Australia in Bangkok (7pm) in a World Cup qualifier. Thailand are without a point from their first four games, though they were very unlucky to lose two of them.
However, they will be hard pushed to beat Australia, currently second in the group behind Saudi Arabia. The visitors are ranked 40 in the FIFA world rankings, the second-highest Asian country, behind Iran (27).
A lack of goals and an uncertain defence have seen Thailand struggle. This was particularly evident in the last game against Iraq who created numerous scoring opportunities, finishing with only four.
Hopefully, a sell-out crowd will get behind their team and inspire them to regain some much needed lost pride.
