Thailand reported 1,458 new COVID-19 infections on Wednesday and 2 additional deaths.
Of the new cases, 1,346 were local transmissions, while 108 were imported from people entering quarantine and 4 foreign infected persons (screening at checkpoint and entering the hospital/quarantine).
17,162 people remain in hospital receiving treatment, 29,371 have recovered.
Wednesday’s cases bring the total number of COVID-19 infections in Thailand to 46,643 with 110 deaths.
