Worawi Makudi, President of the FAT has been handed a 16 month suspended jail sentence for forgery during the FAT Presidential Election in 2013.
The Bangkok South Criminal Court handed down a similar sentence to Ong-art Korsinkha, the then secretary-general of the FAT.
The defendants were found guilty of falsifying documents ahead of the 2013 election, which Worawi won.
As it was a first offence the court reduced the sentences from 2 years to 16 months . Worawi has stated that he will appeal against the decision.
