A horrifying incident transpired in a residence in Khon Kaen province, where a man fatally shot his wife and mother-in-law before turning the firearm on himself. The tragic event occurred at midnight today, resulting in the demise of three individuals.
The victims were identified as 52-year-old Manee, 35-year-old Chanutda, and 39-year-old Kraipop. At the scene, a 9mm gun and six bullet casings were discovered, serving as evidence of the brutal act. Upon examination, it was revealed that Manee sustained gunshot wounds to her left chest, leg, and back. Chanutda was shot in the left chest and leg, while Kraipop suffered a gunshot wound to his left chest, indicating a direct hit to his heart.
Prior to the shocking incident, the couple, Kraipop and Chanutda, frequently clashed due to suspicions of infidelity, a major source of their disagreements. Shortly before the tragedy unfolded, Kraipop had posted accusations of his wife’s infidelity on his personal Facebook account, sparking a heated argument between the couple that fateful night.
In the midst of the confrontation, Kraipop brandished a gun and threatened Chanutda. Manee, Chanutda’s mother, attempted to intervene, but Kraipop proceeded to shoot her before turning the gun on Chanutda and ultimately himself. Sub-lieutenant Nhamchai Sriwiang, the police station chief of Kok Pho Chai, who participated in the investigation, stated that the exact circumstances leading to this tragic incident are still under scrutiny.
