In the evening, people gather at temples to participate in candlelit processions called “Wian Tian.” The participants walk clockwise around the main shrine or stupa, carrying flowers, incense, and lit candles. This practice symbolizes the Three Jewels of Buddhism: the Buddha, the Dharma (his teachings), and the Sangha (the monastic community).

Some devotees may even choose to spend the entire day in meditation, reflecting on the teachings of the Buddha and seeking spiritual purification.

Government offices, schools, and businesses are closed, allowing people to participate in the festivities and spend time with their families.
