On request from our readers we have listed some of the great eating options in Buriram with directions to each restaurant.
If you’re new to Buriram or unfamiliar with the city, a simple zoom in on Google maps will enable you to find these fantastic bars and restaurants – please see map below.
Thani Alley is the main area for late night entertainment, which you can find directly, from the train station, follow Romburi Road up to Thani Alley which has many options for Thai bars and restaurants.

The main farang (ex-pats) restaurants and bars are listed below
Italian
Bar Roma -near the clock tower roundabout which is in front of the railway station, just along the road opposite the Thai hotel and near to the main night life centre of the city.

Austrian

Schnitzel Wirtin – About half way between i-mobile Stadium and Big C, directly opposite the large Wat (temple) you can find the Schnitzel Wirtin restaurant
French
Oli French Wine Bar and Tapas – Oli Wine and Tapas bar situated at 47/26 Talad Thong Nai, Meuang, Buriram. Talad Thong is on the Thanon Thali Road, near to the bus station about 150 meters from the traffic lights at the junction with Bulamduan road. The bar is easily visible form the road and there is ample parking available.


Jimmy’s Sports Cafe – Up on Jira Road between Tewkeets Super Store and the Best Western Hotel.

As well as the great British breakfast, Jimmys has smoked salmon with lightly salted scrambled egg and the famous bacon chop. Lots more on the menu check the link.

Thai/Farang
Bamboo Bar – The longest established farang bar in Buriram is on Thani Road at the junction with Romburi Road that leads to the nightlife 0f Buriram.


Swiss
Swiss Steakhouse in Satuk – not in Buriram City but out in Satuk, it is situated in a pleasant,quiet street just off the main road through Satuk and you will receive a warm welcome from Swiss owner John and his lovely Thai wife Chotiya.
MUANG PIZZA TULIP HOTEL – excellent pizza, freshly baked bread and high quality restaurant fare. From Jira Road, turn onto Balamduan Rd (Bus station here) and take your first left into Rancharna Rd. The restaurant is on the left hand side and has ample off- road parking.

Other Options
For delicious Thai pork noodle soup (char-sui pork) try the noodle shop down the side of the Bamboo Bar (over the road on Romburi).
