A late Tunez goal saved Buriram’s proud unbeaten record after former Buriram striker Adisak had given the home side a first-half lead. BEC were desperate for points as they battle to avoid the dreaded drop but were denied victory when Tunez was left completely free as the defence moved out and the big defender made no mistake.
Buriram were a pale shadow of the side that had won fourteen games on the run and were fortunate to come away with a draw. Neither side produced anything of real quality in a game that was instantly forgettable. One game to go at Thai Port.
