The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) has issued its 10th heavy rainfall warning, indicating that numerous areas throughout the country are at risk.

This announcement is in response to a strong low-pressure system covering the northeastern region and a monsoon trough passing over northern Thailand.

These weather conditions are expected to result in intense rainfall in the north, northeast, central regions, including Bangkok and nearby provinces, as well as the eastern and southern regions.

The public is strongly advised to be cautious due to the potential hazards posed by heavy to very heavy rainfall and strong winds in certain areas, which could lead to flash floods and runoff.

Particular attention should be given to individuals residing near mountain slopes, water bodies, and low-lying areas. Additionally, motorists are urged to exercise caution when driving in heavy rainstorms and to avoid open spaces, standing under large trees, and being near poorly secured billboards.

In the northeast, the following provinces are specifically affected: Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, and Surin.
