A group of local Expat golfers decided some six months ago to form the Buriram Golf Society. The gentlemen involved were playing at the KHAO KADONG 9 HOLE GOLF CLUB, the only golf club in Buriram, on a regular social basis. They felt that a friendly competitive format would add to their enjoyment of the game.
The next move was to organize a handicap system based on the stableford format. The group of friends led by Peter Dempsey had already organized three successful Texas Scramble competitions by this stage and found that a number of other golfers wanted to join their society.
This week they launched their new logo and made available their new polo golfing shirts.

A group of the society players head off next week for a two day trip to Korat to play at The Thai Royal Air Force course and ay the Korat Country Club. The players will be competing for the Tour Trophy.
