The Buriram Golf Society will be holding their Captains Day this Friday 8th January 2016. Mr Neil Cameron the Society’s inaugural Captain will be handing over the Captaincy to Mr Tony Murphy for 2016.
The Buriram Golf Society has become one of the most successful expat organized group of friends to make such a thing happen in Buriram.
Neil was a founder member of the golfing gentlemen that agreed it would be a good idea to form a society and organize some competitions and invite fellow golfers to join and enjoy a good day at the golf course and make it something of an occasion.
The Guys started with a Texas Scramble competition some 18 months ago which has now become a regular event with over 30 golfers turning up every 3 months for a good day out. They also organize away trips to neighbouring Golf courses and are now planning some match play games at their home golf course in Buriram and other challenging courses in Thailand.
This Friday will start with a round of golf followed by a lunch and small ceremony at Paddy’s Irish Bar and Outback, the Society’s appointed club house. All golfers and friends of the Society are welcome. A full report of the day will appear in the Buriram Times
