Dr Gamhorm has advertised her services online after opening a clinic in the northern capital. She claims to be able to cure terminal cancer and kidney failure. The doctor also says she has all the licenses from the United States of America and has dared the Thai authorities to investigate her claims.
The doctor has been pictured with certificates from the American Holistic Health Association and the American Alternative Health Association.
She has also said that she is willing to treat desperate people for one baht. And has been dubbed the “One Baht Angel”.
Thai trading standards and the medical council have said that the pretty Thai doctor working in Chiang Mai is little more than a fraud. Thai authorities say her claims are nonsense and they are looking at possibly arresting her for false advertising and not having a proper medical license.
Dr Gamhorm has countered that she worked successfully in the States where she was allowed to practise and now wants to bring her expertise to Thailand to help people here.
