With a wonderful time being had by all over the last few days, (with one more day to go) it has certainly been party time for the Thais as they celebrate their New Year in style with their traditional water festival.

The big party at the I-Mobile Stadium has been the usual success along with many others around the city.

Your writer ventured out on Thursday afternoon to the well-established Ex-pat favourite Bamboo Bar and can report on a very enjoyable party.

The locals including the management and staff along with the farangs ,entered into the spirit of the occasion and we were all blessed inside with a little water and white powder. However outside it was every man (or woman) for themselves!

The Bamboo Bar laid on a delicious free barbeque for all their customers whilst being entertained by some very loud music which fortunately had the speakers pointed outside.

It was very special to share with the our local Thai friends their New Year celebrations in our much loved adopted country.
