Buriram United have signed Thai-Swedish goalkeeper Kevin Sangsamanan, the club announced on Wednesday.

In a brief announcement , Buriram United unveiled the signing of Kevin by a photo of the 20-year-old with chairman Newin Chidchob.

Kevin has been marked as the replacement of club legend, Siwarak Tedsungnoen who turned 33 last summer.

Last season, the talented goalkeeper was playing for the outfit of AFC Eskilstuna in Allsvenskan, which is the top flight of the Swedish football league system.

The 1.88-metre-tall keeper decided to join the Thai League 1 champions despite the rumours that he had reached an agreement with league rivals Pattaya United.

There is no suggestion that Siwarak is ready to retire. He was outstanding last season , keeping 19 clean sheets in the league. In fact, Buriram only conceded 22 goals all season, with 4 coming in one of their two league defeats.

We at the Times wish Kevin a long and happy stay at Thunder Castle.
