The Thai Meteorological Department reported today that temperatures are set to rise slightly in northern Thailand, accompanied by morning fog. Meanwhile, the southern regions are expected to encounter heavy rainfall, resulting in high sea waves. The public has been cautioned about potential flash floods and forest runoffs, particularly for today.

The dominant high-pressure system or cold front that previously covered Thailand is gradually losing strength. Consequently, temperatures are seeing a slight uptick in the northern areas, with foggy mornings. However, the northeast remains cool to cold during the morning hours. The north, central regions (including Bangkok and nearby areas), the east, and the upper south will all experience cool mornings. Residents in these areas are advised to take care of their health due to the chilly weather and to be vigilant about fire hazards arising from dry weather conditions. Travelers are also urged to exercise caution in foggy areas.

In the northeast, expect cool to cold weather with morning fog, slightly higher temperatures, lows of 14 to 19 degrees Celsius, highs of 29 to 30 degrees Celsius, and cold to very cold conditions in mountainous areas, with lows of 10 to 16 degrees Celsius.
